how do muscle cells respond to the nervous electrical impulses?

when our brain sent signal to the spinal chord they transfer it to the receptors and we know that muscles have a capacity of contraction and relaxation .
these signals cause the muscles to contract and trigger to work which we want to do

When a nerve impulse reaches the muscle cell, the protein present in the muscle cell change it's shape, there by moving the muscle.The protein changes its shape in response to the impulse.
