Explanation:

when vlood flows through the glomerulus it is under high pressure becoz the efferent arteriole is less in diameter than the afferent arteriole . so the blood flows under high pressure(hydrostatic pressure) which forces the liquid part of the blood to filter out. this filtration under extraordinary pressure is called ultrfiltration.

The filtrate is known as glomerular filtrate becoz it also contains glucose and salts of sodium along with urea which passes into the renal tubule. the kindney reabsorbs most of the water and useful substances . but the reabsorption is only till the extent that the normal concentration of blood is not disturbed. then a large number of foreign chemicals including drugs like penicillin are passed into forming urine in the distal convoluted tubule. this passage involves activity of the cells of tubular wall and is known as tubular secretion.
