⭐Non-metals react with hydrogen to form covalent hydrides. For example, nitrogen, oxygen, sulphur and chlorine react with hydrogen to form ammonia, water, hydrogen sulphide and hydrogen chloride, respectively.
⭐Yes! Non metals like N reacts with hydrogen to produce NH3. It reacts with oxygen and forms H2O.
⭐Many such examples are there. But for every reaction to occur there is need of two things; one is that it should be thermodynamically feasible and kinetics should be such that it occurs with a prominent speed to recognise the reaction.
hope it helps you dear

Ciao,
non metals react with metals and form covalentlly bonded hyrides.
main example is of water hydrogen is a metal and oxygen is non .metal they combine to form h2o.and also consider nitrogen which is a non .metal when react with hydrogen forms ammonia NH3.
i really hope that you will find it helpful .stay blessed☺
