Hydrochloric acid kills all the terms present in our stomach by its acidic property. If it's not secreted, the germs will live on and may infest the body with diseases.
Also, HCl acid creates an acidic medium for the bike and other enzymes to act on, if it's not secreted, proper digestion can't take place.
I hope it helps, if it did, please mark as the brainliest. Thank you.

Heya !!
Here is your answer !!
HCl is secreted by the gastric glands present on the inner wall of stomach...
It kills microbes present in the food taken by us !!..
Moreover it plays an important role in the digestion of proteins.
Proteins are digested by pepsin enzyme secreted by gastric glands..
They are active only in acidic medium ..hence the HCl activates the pepsin to digest proteins....
If HCl is not secreted then the proteins would not be digested by pepsin as it would be inactive..
Hope this helps you :)..
