an organism which reproduce asexually duplicates their DNA and then pass the newly formed DNA into the new cell therefore there is DNA replication in asexually reproducing organisms and also in divisions that happens in the body
in asexually reproducing animals the gametes are produced by mitosis where the number of chromosomes get halved and when 2 gametes fuse the chromosome number again becomes the same
