How do organisms at great depths live under such crushing pressures and do they have special enzymes?

☞ The organisms at the great depths survive due to following reason:

  • Generally the deep sea organisms have the same pressure as that of their surrounding water. Thus they are capable of surviving in that crushing pressure.
  • These organisms also possess large lungs, air sacs which helps in maintaining their internal pressure of the body so as to overcome the external pressure this way the equilibrium is maintained and survival also maintained.
