how do organisms,whether reproduced asexually or sexually maintain a constant chromosome number through several generations? Explain with eg. (3marks)

The organism which either reproduces sexually or asexually maintains the chromosome number because the equal set of chromosomes comes each from mother and father.e.g. 23 from mother and 23 from mother as in humans.
