  • A permanent magnet can be demagnetised by the following methods: (1) Dropping it down continously (2) By hammering (3) By heating (4) By keeping the like poles together (5) By placing the magnet in a stronger opposite field (6) By passing the magnet to and fro through a strong solenoid (a current carrying coil).

Answer:

Demagnetization processes include heating past the Curie point, applying a strong magnetic field, applying alternating current, or hammering the metal. Demagnetization occurs naturally over time. The speed of the process depends on the material, the temperature, and other factors.
