Deep inside the soil , generally near beds , the crude oil or petroleum is found in pits. above the pits , there is a gas known as natural gas .

Crude oil consist of several oils .

After fractional distillation of crude oil , the kerosene , heavy oil( Diesel) , light oil ( gasoline and naptha ) , petrol and residue and other materials are obtained .

So , basically we can say that natural gas and petroleum is found naturally burried deep inside soil from which other materials are obtained .
