Movement- the plants move but very gradually and slowly, example, blooming of a flower. The plants remain fixed in their places but their movement is very slow compared to animals.

reproduction- Plants reproduce through the help of transmission of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma. Such things do not happen in animals.

respiration- When we respire, we breathe our the carbondioxide produced. Plants respire through their leaves, they do not breath for the process.

taking food- plants create their own food through photosynthesis. Their source to create food is sunlight, water, mineral ions and carbon dioxide. We do not manufacture out own food, animals do not create their food. And certainly, animals take in food that are created by plants or eat other animals.

Growth- Animal growths continue until they reach a determined size of their species. plants however continue to grow throughout their life span except for in certain tissues.

Hope this helps...
