plants receive carbon dioxide for the process of photosynthesis through the stomatal pores present under the leaf. those stomatal openings are used for exchange of gases in plants. they allow carbon dioxide in and oxygen out . Factors that effect diffusion in plants are pressure , temperature , membrane permeability etc.

Plants breathe through the roots ,leaves and stems.

1) Leaves

Exchange of gases in leaves occur through the pores on the leaves called stomata.

2) Roots

Some roots are breathing roots and therefore allow for exchange of gases in plants.

3) Stems

Some stems have pores which allow for exchange of gases in plants.

The direction of diffusion of gases in plants is affected by:

1) Density of the diffusing gas molecules.

2) Temperature

3) Diffusion pressure gradient.
