Sunlight is captured by chlorophyll which is a green coloured pigment present in the chloroplast .

During the photosynthesis, the plant takes the light energy from the sunlight with the help of chlorophyll.

The chlorophyll is the green color pigment present in the chloroplast.

So the non-green color plants do not do the photosynthesis process and produce their own food.

The solar energy is converted into the chemical energy in the form of ATP molecules.
