HOW DO PLANTS MAKE FOOD?

Plants take in carbon dioxide from air and water from soil. The leaves of green plants contain green substance chlorophyll. Chlorophyll trap sunlight. Green leaves used the energy of sunlight to prepare food from carbon dioxide and water. Since, this process takes place in the presence of sunlight it is called photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process by which green plant prepare food in the presence of sunlight. During photosynthesis plant take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen. This oxygen is used by all animal and human beings to breathe. Plants their food in the form of starch in their leaves.
