Each part of plant respires individually. The stomata, which help in photosynthesis, also help in the respiration

process. The stomata consist of two bean-shaped cells called guard cells, which allow the opening and closing of

the stomatal pore to take in oxygen. Woody stems have small openings on their bark called lenticels for breathing.

Roots of plants also breathe with the help of root hair.
