How do plants respond to the external stimuli and how it is communicated?

plants are know to respond to a number of external stimuli such as light,touch,chemical, gravity etc.plant respond to the external factor which helps the receptors and hormone.The receptors help the plant to the sense the external stimuli amd act accordingly
