they pressurise the government, and put forward the demands of the people in front of the govt. political parties act as a check because they make the government aware that if it doesn't fulfill the demands of the people then the people have a choice other than them whom they will elect in the next elections. pressure group hold with them a large number of votes, if the government doesn't fullfil their demands then it will be deprived of these votes in the upcoming elections. that's how these organisations help in power sharing.
