One way in which political parties restrict their members is that they  usually compel people who have used their ticket s to win elective posts to be loyal to the activities of the parties .In case you won and could wish to quit the political party you step down and leave your seat vacant  for it to be contested once again.

Political parties can as well ask their members to make contributions for them for gain tickets on their aspired posts.
