Posts are located at the coastal shores of the country.
Most of the trade means international trade is done through sea ports it is because :-
1)Trading through sea route is ecofriendly and doesn't cause any harm.
2)Mostly ports are used to carry bulky goods from one country to another which increases the economy of the country who is exporting the goods.
3)We doesn't need any money to build sea so it reduces the prices means country doesn't have any loss as it's doesn't need to spend it's money to build sea and all.
India is a peninsular country with having water on three sides Major trade is done from Western ports of India.
India is also a country with having longest coastal line of about 5000-6000km due to which it increases the economy of the country by trading with other countries
