How do pressure groups and movements strengthen democracy? Explain

1) Democracy involves voices of each and every person ...it has been seen that through PRESSURE GROUPS and movements people have been able to express their voices to the govt...throught this they hve deepened democracy.....

2) Through these groups govenment gets to hear what people of different societies nad people wnat and they can make decisions that help aa these people and form unity in the nation

3) India is a very large country and sometimes it is impossible for the representatives to take decisions that help eachand every person ...it may happen their decision may help one group but at that same point of time it may even destroy sentiments of other people .....example FDI according to me Fdi would help rich and middle class people rather than poor people .so govt is taking on behalf of the rich not thinking about the poor. so at this point the poor may organize a movement that would help then raising their demands..

(b) Put pressure on the rulers for the unhealthy activities. 


(c) It performs a useful role in countering the undue influence of the rich and powerful people. 


(d) One single group cannot achieve dominance over society. 


(e) The government gets to hear about what different sections of the population want. 


(f) This leads to a rough balance of power and accommodation of conflicting interests.
