Explanation:

Auxin is a plant hormone which is synthesized at the tip of the shoot .It helps the cell grow longer. When a tendril comes in contact with a support ,auxin stimulates faster growth of the cells on the opposite side .That's why the tendril form a coil around the support

Auxin, a phytohormone or plant hormone sincerely helps to perform this action, i.e., auxin helps in promoting the growth of a tendril around a support.

-: More Facts :-

  1. Auxin is generally synthesized in young meristems of shoots and roots, coleoptile, root tips, young leaf, buds, etc.
  2. Auxin helps in apical dominance and inhibits lateral growth, cell division and cell enlargement, fruit growth, etc.
  3. Auxin also plays a vital role in controlling tropic movement in plants.
  4. Under the application of synthetic auxin, seedless fruits or parthenocarpic fruits are formed.
  5. The general chemical composition of auxin includes C, H, O and N.
