How do rays bend when they are incident on a curved surfaces??

Direction of bending. When a ray of light passes from a less dense material (eg air) into a denser material (eg glass or water) it isbent away from the surfacebetween the two materials. This means that in this situation the angle of refraction is always less than the angle of incidence.
