The Rhizobium bacteria helpsleguminous plants by converting atmospheric nitrogen to soluble form for the plant to make proteins and in return the plant provides the bacteriawith sugars or food. This is a relationship in which both work together and are benefited and have amutual relationship.

the leguminous plants give the bacteria shelter and food while the bacteria gives it (the plant ) nitrogen in the consumable form that the plant can use .
this is known as sybiosis where 2 organisms are mutually beneficial to each other.
