Fossils are the dead remains of plants and animals that used to live in ancient times. They act as an evidence that there is a big evolution from the time to today.

For instance, Archaeopteryx is a bird that consists of many features of a bird but there are few of reptiles as well. It is said that the evolution has happened between a bird and reptile.
