Small scale industries contribute in socio economic development of India in following ways :-
1)Small scale industries contribute about 40% of gross industrial value added in economy.
2)45% of total export from India comes from small scale industries.Gems,jewellery, handicrafts, sports goods,etc are some items of exports from Small scale industries.
3)Small scale industries generates employment it is the 2nd latest employer after agriculture.
4)Small scale industries provides large number of variety of goods and products.I t provides goods like stationary items, soaps,detergents , ready-made garments,etc.
