Hola Good Evening ☺❤

A solid has a defined shape and volume. A lump of metal will stay the same shape and volume unless or until you apply heat. Heating solid will either increase in volume (grow bigger) or melt ( become a liquid).

A liquid has no fixed shape, but it has a fixed volume. If you tip water from a bottle into a glass, the volume is the same, but the shape of the water changes to the shape of the glass. If the glass has a larger volume than the bottle, the water will not completely fill the glass.

A gas can also be poured from one container to another, taking the shape of the container each time. If a gas is poured into a larger container, it will completely fill the new container.

Hope this helps you dear ❤
