With the process of diffusion, the substances like CO2 and water move in and out of the cell.

If the concentration level of CO2 and water is higher in an external environment than that inside the cell, water and co2 moves inside and in case if their concentration level is low, they move outside.

heya!

substances like co2 and solids move in and out of the cells by the process of diffusion. Diffusion is a physical process where molecules of a material move from an area of high concentration (where there are many molecules) to an area of low concentration (where there are fewer molecules).

substances like water move in and out of cell by the process of osmosis.Osmosis is the movement of water or other solvent through a selectively permeable membrane such as plasma membrane from a region of low solute concentration to a region of high solute concentration.
