cell contains a partially permeable membrane known as ''plasma'' or ''cell membrane''.So it allows only certain substances.so,exchange of CO2 and WATER moves through ''diffusion''.Diffusion is the movement of particles from a higher concentration to a lower one.As the co2 concentration is high in the cell,it diffuses out through plasma membrane.
