Hello there !!
Here is your Answer !!

The substances like CO2 and water move in and out of a cell by diffusion from the region of high concentration to low concentration . When the concentration of CO2 and water is higher in external environment than that inside the cell , Co2 and water moves inside the cell. When the concentration outside the cell becomes low and it is high inside the cell , they moves out .

Hope this Helps!!

In most of the cells the process of diffusion takes place for substances like Co2 and Water to more in and out of the cell. Diffusion in a Human cell is-
Co2 and Toxic waste is high in the cell and O2 and Energy is low in the cell.
So by the law of diffusion Co2 and waste(high concentration) moves out of the cell into the blood (low concentration) while O2 and food in the blood (high concentration) moves into the cell(low concentration)

Plants also use the same way to release 02 in the atmosphere and Take Co2 from the atmosphere.

Hope it helps
