Soil erosion occurs when water with high velocity runs down washing the soil. As many terrace or step like slopes are present in terrace farming. It reduces the speed as well as the quantity of water moving over the soil surface as a result of water moving over the soil surface as a result of which it checks soil erosion by preventing it...
