How do the Actinopods catch their prey?

It is spread by a "kissing bug" that feeds at night. They change the shape of the cell to form pseudopodia for movement. eg Amoeba. Amoeba is found in freshwater, and preys on smaller organisms including bacteria....

Prey which refers to protoctists or protist (multicellular and unicellular organisms) and small animals, stick to the axopods. Cytoplasm from the axopods then consumes the prey and cytoplasmic flow carries it down the axopods toward inner parts of the cell, where it is digested.
