How do the bats fly in dark?

bats produce ultrasonic sound (sound waves with frequency greater than 20kHz) the ultrasonic sound produced by bats get reflected on hitting an obstacle this reflected sound is received by their ears and they can locate the obstacle and estimate it's distance even in the dark
