how do the birds wings work to enable them to fly??

fella444: the wings are hollow and are shaped in a specific way that helps them fly!!
npr: the hollow undersurface of the wings holds more air and thus creates more pressure upwards whereas the pressure over the wings would be less, this phenomenon helps the bird to fly.
