characters are embedded in chromosomes as genes
since chromosomes gets transmitted due to fusion pf sperm n ova from dad n mom, so do the genes and characters

The Y chromosomes from themother have about 50 genes, and the X chromosomes from thefather have 850 genes. These genes contain traits of themother and father and combine in the embryo. Thecharacteristics of parents are situated inside the chromosomes of both male and female parent.
