The concave mirrors in this process are tilted towards sun by which it reflects and focus sunlight on the pipes in engine that leads to increase in temperature of oil in pipes, and when it reaches 750°-760°F it is then used to boil water, and then by CSP process it convert heat to electric energy.

EXTRA INFORMATION:It is being used in USA 15-16 years.

Some related , similar process:

  1. Trough systems
  2. Power tower systems
  3. Dish engine systems

In these systems also mirrors are used to produce energy.

INTERESTING FACT: These all systems are environment friendly as they use sunlight as Base energy and being convert to heat, electric energy.

The mirrored reflectors are tilted toward the sun, and focus sunlight on the pipes to heat the oil inside to as much as 750°F. The hot oil is then used to boil water, which makes steam to run conventional steam turbines and generators.
