Funaria

1. Funaria belongs to the group of mosses of the category Bryophytes.

2. The most dominant stage that is the gametophyte stage of funaria has two stages named as protonema and the leafy stages.

3. When the spores of funaria gets germinated, it gives rise to a stage which is branched, green and filamentous type. This stage is protonema.

Euglena

1. This organism belongs to kingdom protista.

2. Euglenoids do not have cell wall. Instead of it, they have a layer called pellicle which is rich in protein.

a) Funaria:  

  • The plant body is gametophytic and the gametophyte is composed of rhizoid, stem and leaves.It belongs to the bryophyte.
  • Rhyzoid is branched, multicellular and composed of speta. At the young stage, the rhizoid is colorless but at the adult, the rhizoids are brown in color.

b) Euglena:

  • It belongs to the phylum Euglenozoa. This is a unicellular organism and can be found in the freshwater.
  • It belongs to the kingdom Protista. It has flagellum for the movement and also have the chloroplast for the photosynthesis.
