How do the following proporties change in a group and period ? Explain with reasons?
1 ) Atomic size. 2 ) Ionisation energy

in period atomic size decrease so ionization enthalpy increase but in group atomic size increase and ionization enthalpy decrease because if atomic size increase then it is easy to remove electrons from outermost shell
