gaurd opens and close when amount of water changes. When water is less in quantity they get closed so that further water loss cannot take place and when water is sufficient they open so that transpiration can occur without any problem. If duat gets accumulated in gaurd cell then photosynthesis gats stopped because it require carbon dioxide for photosynthesis because carbon dioxide does not enters plant body.

The turgid guard cells favours the opening of stomata and flaccid ones result in the closure of stomata.
When stomata get blocked by the dust particles, it means the blockage of stomatal pore. hence, there is no gaseous exchange and thus rate of photosynthesis decreases.
Explanation:
When the guard cells around the stomatal pore are filled with water, the inner thick wall exert pressure towards the outer thin wall of guard cells, as a result the walls push outward.
Thus stomata opens.
When guard cells are empty, the walls moves towards inner side and stomatal pore closes .
Thus stomata closes
The rate of photosynthesis is directly proportional to the opening of stomata . Open stomata means high rate of photosynthesis and closed stomata means no photosynthesis
