The guard cells regulate the closing and opening of the stomata by the amount of water content in it. That is, if stomatal pore must open then water flows in it and the guard cells swell to open and when it shrinks the pore closes.
Hope it helps you :)

Answer:
Stomatal pores in plants regulate the amount of water and solutes within them by opening and closing theirguard cells using osmotic pressure. In order for plants to produce energy and maintain cellular function, their cellsundergo the highly intricate process of photosynthesis. Critical in this process is the stoma.
