in their skin. The hair present on the bodies ofthese animals traps air within thespaces between it. Air, being a bad conductor or insulator of heat, retains the heat i.e. it does notlet the heat escape from the animal's body . That is how it keeps the body warm of certain animals.

It is a bad conductor of heat. therefore it makes the animal warm with its body warmth.
