Hey Friend,
Himalayas play a very important role by influencing the climate of India. It is the main factor that affects the climate of the South Asia.
1. The Himalayas owing to its height acts as a barrier against the cold Siberian winds!
2. These chilly winds originate from the Arctic Circle and blow over Asia. If Himalayas were not there, then South Asia would have been a cold frozen desert.
3. The Himalayas obstruct the moisture laden monsoon winds and cause plenty of rainfall during summers.
4. If there were no Himalayas, then the climate would have been hot and dry during summers and cold and dry during winters.
Hope it helps!
