Human beings can adapt themselves to the altitude and  the temperature of the area.

Explanation:

  • when there is altitude difference there is change in the oxygen concentration. As a result of this there is increase in the number of RBC production
  • oxygen is carried more efficiently from the lungs to the body organs.
  • Similarly when a person lives in the extremes of temperature there is increase in the amount of sweating.
  • There is evaporation of sweat resulting in cooling of the body and maintenance of the body temperature. The reverse occurs in cold condition
