Explanation:

He that is thy friend indeed, He will help thee in thy need: If thou sorrow, he will weep; If thou wake, he cannot sleep: Thus of every grief in heart He with thee doth bear a part. These are certain signs to know Faithful friend from flattering foe.” ― William Shakespeare, The Passionate Pilgrim.

Answer:

Heyya!!!

Hope my answer will help you...

The poet wants us to learn how to differentitate between a true friend and an enemy.

Which means people who will actually be with u all your life, even in your hardest and wildest times, and people who only act like they will never betray you, just because you have something which is useful to them.

The poet wants us to beware of such people who will definitely leave us when they have gotten what they want or when they know they won't get what they want from you anymore.

The signs explained in the poem clearly help us to do so...

Thanks to the poet who has written those signs down so beautifully.

-thank you
