About 78 percent of the atmosphere is made of nitrogen, but plants and animals can't take nitrogen directly from the air.

In most plants usually get nitrogen when they grow is soil or water in which they live..animals get

nitrogen when they needed by eating plant or other animals that contains nitrogen.and when plant animal and othe organism die, decomposer return nitrogen to the soil.....
