The movement of body parts and locomotion in human beings is brought about by the alternate construction and stitching of the muscles attached to the movable bones of the skeleton. When muscles pull on bones by contraction they produce movement such as walking , bending of hand moving head and straightening of arms. The contraction of muscles which brings about movement is controlled by brain.

The biceps and triceps muscles are involved in bending and straightening of arm.
