your answer is hear
The presence of mountains in the path of a wind will force the air to move upwards and hence cool. Cooling causes water vapour in the air to condense and form water droplets, which can grow and cause rainfall. Thus, mountains help to cause rain on the windward side and the air that moves over the mountain to the other side (the leeward side) will be drier than normal and hence the leeward side of a mountain will be deficient in rainfall. This phenomenon helps my state (Kerala, India) to get plenty of rainfall during the south-west monsoon (June-September)
