They breathe through them. Plants respire through minute spots on the epidermis of the leaves called stomata. birds respire through the nose all the spots present on their beaks. Aquatic animals live fishes respire through gills and aquatic plants respire through the dissolved oxygen present in water.

plants - different plants breath from different parts but most of them breath through leaves(not that sure)
