Answer:

Without the force of gravity from the Earth, it would just float away into space. This mix of velocity and distance from the Earth allows the Moon to always be in balance between fall and escape. If it was faster, it would escape; any slower and it would fall!

1) There are no people living on the moon.
2) In future, if people constructed a civilisation on moon, then they would have to take almost all the oxygen from the earth because if there is a scarcity of oxygen just for 5 seconds, the whole world can destroy.
3) The people need to survive from extreme climatic conditions and the new microbes living on the surface of the moon, which can cause serious illness.

Heading towards your question, there is less gravity on moon but it is not that there is no gravitational force on the moon. Moon has a mass 1/6th of that of the Earth. This means that the gravity is 1/6th on moon than that of earth and that’s why astronauts can survive.
