The process of respiration occurs by the cellular respiration.

Respiration is the phenomena wherein the cells obtains energy by breaking down glucose.

This process occurs or takes place by cellular respiration.

This is classified into 2 kinds :

1. Aerobic respiration

This kind of respiration utilizes oxygen for glucose to be broken down. It produces high amount of energy when glucose molecule is completely broken.

2. Anaerobic respiration

This process takes place without the molecules of oxygen. It does not produce large amount of energy as it doesn't completely breaks the glucose.
