Respiration is the process of releasing energy through the breakdown of nutrients such as glucose. Respiration can be aerobic (uses oxygen) or anaerobic (does not use oxygen). Aerobic respiration takes placecontinuously in both plants andanimals. It occurs through a processknown as cellular respiration.

The respiration process occurs via nose as well as skin pores/holes in the human body.

In fishes, the gills are the respiratory organs.

The process of respiration is the intake of oxygen and exhaling the carbondioxide. The food molecules are broken down into pieces and they are oxidized using the oxygen molecules.

In frogs, the respiration takes place through pores of the skin.
