How do the process of respiration occur in living organisms?

Respiration. All living organisms are capable of releasing energy stored in food molecules through a chemical process known as cellular respiration. In aerobic respiration, oxygen is taken up and carbon dioxide is given out.It is not a simple process as breathing. it is complex process.
